Day 71 – As If It Were Important

“For the resolute and determined, there is time and opportunity.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sometimes there are those days that are just pure chaos. Everyone knows those days where you can’t find time to do the things you like to do. There is nothing wrong with not being able to find “free” time but even in those days, you can still figure out opportunities to find some sort of value. Odds are even on really busy days, there is always something good that came from it, especially if this is your desire. Sometimes it’s as simple as a positive outlook or desire to make things seem good or bad. Choosing to have a positive outlook and desiring to live a meaningful life are the basic requirements for living a meaningful life.

Joshua Fields Millburn said, “treat all of your writing as if it were important” discussing how even a text message can be reviewed as writing. It’s bigger than a text message, it’s the idea of making an opportunity out of everything you do. What a great way to look at the world, treat every little thing you do as if it were important because well.. it is. To some extent if you choose to use your time to do something, it has to be important to you in some way. If it isn’t very important nor a good way to utilize your time, make it at least beneficial by getting some sort of value from it whether that’s self improvement, enjoyment, etc. Doing this with daily tasks like texting while trying to improve writing or washing dishes while listening to a book to improve your knowledge can go a long way.

Item 071 of 360+

Today’s item is a set of Magic The Gathering cards from back in college. My friends and I would buy a set, have a fun draft night, and then forget the cards exist, rinse, and repeat. I saw this box of cards still lying around and I know there is no good reason to keep them around. I plan on putting them up on eBay to see if I can get some cash in my pocket while decluttering another item!
