Day 364 – New Year Goals

“You have to be able to get up and dust yourself off and always be going forward.” -Rita Moreno

“Goals aren’t made to be met but to be exceeded” – TJ Thomas, Day 1 of 2021

“If you truly want to get be better, you can’t do it in a day or a week, it has to be a mindset and you have to stay consistent.” – Day 5 of 2021

What is your goal for 2022? Everyone has to want something, there is always a way to improve yourself. If you set a goal and 2021, now is a great time to reminisce on what it was and why it didn’t happen. Then imagine yourself and where you would be today if you were able to do your goal. I was not able to do all of my goals this year. I wanted to eat healthier and I did some of the year but the holidays and traveling got the best of me. I plan on trying to take it more seriously this year though and my main goal will be to start making more delicious/healthy food at home. It sounds simple and that’s because it is. My advice to everyone would be to keep it simple, don’t give yourself too many rules and don’t let one bad day dictate the next day.

There was a few times, late at night when I thought about quitting on my goals this year. The main motivating factor for me was that I wanted to prove it to myself that Amalia and I could write a blog and declutter 360+ items, probably closer to 400, in a year. It’s important to remember that it’s important to push yourself and prove to yourself that you can achieve the things you set your mind to. In doing so, I hope that we can be an example to others that think they can’t do something that no, they really can. Set your goals and take a step towards it either way. If you can’t take a step towards it, try your hardest to not step backwards then. Finally, if you step backwards one day, wake up the next and try to take a bigger step forward. Keep going forward and you may just surprise yourself. I’m pleasantly surprised and it has me fired up for this upcoming year. We wish you well in the upcoming year and we will post one last time tomorrow. Good luck with all of your goals, you can do it!

Item 364 of 360+

Today’s decluttered item is Amalia’s “one of a kind” shirt. We hope someone else will be able to appreciate this shirt and make it their own version of “one of a kind”.
