Day 352 – On The 7th Day, Coffee

On the 7th day til Christmas, another truly valued item agreed on by Amalia and I is our coffee maker! Coffee is what helps us function every day. It’s also something that can either make or break your day depending on how good the coffee is. When I first got into coffee, I didn’t really care what kind I would have or where I got it from. I would douse it with cream and sugar and be fine with it. Since then I have become more of a coffee snob I guess you could say. My favorite way to drink coffee is black. The only reason I won’t drink coffee black is if it tastes like crap. So this is one of the main reasons why we appreciate our coffee maker and coffee bean grinder so much. A normal coffee pot doesn’t with some Folgers doesn’t quite do it for me anymore. I much prefer to have whole bean, freshly grinded and properly dripped/heated coffee for it to become the first thing to enjoy each morning. It kicks off the day the right way and we both really appreciate the delicious coffee. So if you find value in coffee like us, make sure you have the right things to help you make it the best it can be every day. It will also save you a lot of money in the long run when you’re not making as many trips to Dunkin / Starbucks. To recap, we now have discussed bikes (12th), kitchen appliances (11th), a table for gathering (10th), our computer (9th), the couch (8th) and now our coffee maker! What do you think will be next?

Today’s decluttered item is a hat Amalia got for me in Colorado a few years ago. Similar to yesterday, this is another hat that is starting to fade and get stained. It’s unfortunate but we have other hats so it’s time to say goodbye to the ones we will no longer wear.
