“To a young heart everything is fun.” – Charles Dickens
I am a strong proponent of making the most out of the time you are given. This should not come at the expense of others but at the same time, don’t let negative people get in your way of living your life to the fullest. So Amalia and I are 27 years old/young. I say old/young on purpose because this is where Amalia and I differ. Amalia is definitely an old soul but maybe she can talk about that in a different post. For me, I believe I am a child at heart. If you know me, I enjoy playing games and poking fun at life in general. Although I do like to enjoy myself, I think the opposite can be said about me as well. Part of me has almost grown up too fast.
I find myself in a unique position where I am one of the youngest in my office at work. Just yesterday, I had one of my peers ask me how old I was, just to let me know that they had a son my same age. It’s a normal occurrence and an accomplishment in my mind. Just like everything, a nice balance is best. It’s almost like a situational awareness light switch for me, I know the right times to be serious and professional. However, when given the opportunity, I try to enjoy my time, especially at work. There is just not enough time in the day to be serious for too long. If you give up your full day at work to be miserable then you will be miserable a majority of the time. Don’t change who you are, embrace it and you will leave the people around you, the office, and the world better off.
