Looking back, my life seems like one long obstacle race, with me as the chief obstacle. – Jack Paar
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” ― Ferris Bueller
This Ferris Bueller quote was the one I used in my high school yearbook. It means so much to me because still to this day and everyday going forward, it’s a reminder to make sure not to don’t skip through life. I’m going through a time in my life where things seem to be going 100 MPH all the time. However, everyday I make time to sit down and do some sort of reflection in these posts. This means no matter how busy it is, there is always time to do some personal reflection and work on my own goals.
Life is moving fast but my favorite parts are when I slow it down and enjoy the little things. From simple card games with friends to finishing a book I’ve been reading for a while to sitting down to watch a movie or show with Amalia, it’s all great in it’s own way. My advice is to live life at your own pace. If you are feeling rushed in a situation, maybe you won’t be able to fix it but try to brainstorm how to help yourself not feel rushed next time. If you’re not getting enough accomplished in a day, look for ways to improve. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so make the most out of each and everyday.
Item 299 of 360+
Tomorrow is the big 300! Wooh! Today’s decluttered item is one of Amalia’s old swimming suits. I have been thinking about new ways to get items to finish out the challenge. The next few days will be some more clothes but then I will be moving onto old cables / electronics I have been meaning to go through. With a maximum of 66 items left in the year, we are full steam ahead for our goal!
