“My life is very much consumed with work.” – Ryan Kwanten
You ever come across something within your day that strikes a chord with you? Today I read something about how much we work that hit my way of thinking. It had went on to say how we work 9-5 jobs and come home for 2 hours to do whatever and then it’s time to get ready for work the next day before bed. Then we do it again for 5 days of the week to just get 2 days off. We come out of college to work with already thousands in debt from school. We spend 7 hours a day in school for years and come home to do hours of homework to prepare us for the real world. We then get that job and work until we can retirement and by that time it’s around 60 years old and that’s if you’re lucky.
We spend most of our only life working. This is pretty sad. Most people can’t afford not to work a full time job. I don’t understand why this country is set up this way. We work more than we live. TJ and I have trying to be as smart as we possibly can with our money so that we can enjoy life longer. Put that extra money into retirement funds and save time to retire as early as we can. Next year we are using up a lot of our time and just traveling in Europe because this is something we’ve been wanting to do for years. Life’s too short, enjoy it! Don’t get caught up in the work. Remember to live.
Item 293 of 360+
Today’s item is an extra lunch box I had hanging around that I only used like twice. I don’t need it as I already have one so it’s time to get rid of it.
