“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.” – Oscar Wilde
Today is the first day of fall; my favorite season, yay! Fall is the end of summer but also the beginning of a cooler season. Fall is a time to get excited for the start of the holiday season, enjoy the beautiful colors of the changing trees, and also the time to start clearing out the closets. I started my clothes switch today and realized how much bulkier fall and winter items are. I have a lot of summer items that I was able to fit into the same storage bin as my fall clothes were in. I realized I had too many summer items, some with tags still on them. I have so many summer clothes (even still after getting rid of some throughout this blog post) that I don’t even have enough days in the season to wear them all. So, I got rid of a nice little pile of clothing items today. It always feels better getting rid of clothes when you’re doing your clothes switch because it’s less clothes that have to be put away haha! In all seriousness though, as the seasons change, take the opportunity to look at how much you have. I realized I had too much and needed to slim down the items taking up space in my closet. Happy Fall Ya’ll!

Today’s decluttered item is an older summer t-shirt I had that started falling apart. It was old and its had its time. Now it’s time to get rid of it and make more room in the storage bins!
