Day 212 – Eating Away Your Time

“Time eats away at memories, distorts them. Sometimes we only remember the good… sometimes only the bad.” – Geralt of Rivia

Deep quote from one of my favorite games, the Witcher III today. Before we leave that subject, I’m very excited for that show to come back, can’t wait to see where they go with it. So it’s kind of funny because today I will be eating away my time, quite literally but in a good way as we head to a TACO fest. This, of course, isn’t what I meant by eating away time. Something I have noticed that I’m sure everyone has at some point in their working life is just how little time there is after a work day. It’s something I have discussed before and will never stop taking about or trying to improve on. One of the main things we always have to do is eat so dinner takes up a lot of the time and effort after work. This same reason is why people elect for fast, usually unhealthy options, which is an issue of course.

My goal, originally told to me by a friend, is to try our best to be healthy during the week that way you are majority healthy in a 7-day stretch no matter what (unless you really make mistakes on the weekend). It’s very true but healthy takes some serious effort, both at the grocery store and after work. Now others will settle and just go about their day doing it but that’s not really how I operate. I’m always looking for a way to improve. My challenge for Amalia and I in the near future is to figure out a way to meal prep delicious food on a Sunday to give us a variety of healthy choices throughout the week. This will then help us take back our weeks and do a little more of the things we enjoy. Now it may not be an every week thing but it’s something we can do as a two person household and at least try to see if it helps us. Does anyone else have some helpful tips for meal prep or getting time back in your week?

Item 212 of 360+

Today’s decluttered item is a pair of shoes. These shoes were made for walkin and that’s just what they did.. “Did” being the key word, now they have been in the shoe closet for a while. It’s time for someone else to walk in her shoes.
