“Hobbies are great distractions from the worries and troubles that plague daily living.” – Bill Malone
Last week I had my first parade as a Black Diamond. What’s a Black Diamond you ask? Well, it’s the bag pipe band I joined last year as a start to my newest hobby. The parade I was in was me doing color guard though and not playing the snare drum, however, I had just as much fun. The band is so nice and fun and everyone treats you like a god! Meaning free beer and pictures with strangers! There will be plenty more parades to come and opportunities for color guard and snare performances once my kilt comes in. I am so very glad I had joined and got myself out of my comfort zone by starting a new hobby.
If you are on the fence about starting a new hobby or even expanding your hobby into a bigger or newer realm, I suggest to just do it. If it’s something you’ve been thinking about for a while and it’s been on your mind a lot, it sounds like it’s something you should just try. You know why? Because you’ll always think to yourself, “what if” and you’ve only got this one life so go for it! I don’t regret my decision at all and am very happy and proud I learned something new and can make this a long standing hobby of mine for many years to come!

Today’s items are three makeup bags I had laying around. I accumulate these and never end up using them so, it’s time they stop taking up room in my closet.
