“Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines.” – Robert Schuller
“Don’t be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Amalia and I have run into a good problem. We are running out of things to get rid of. Why is this good? Because it means we are doing what we wanted when we set out on this journey. We are decluttering all the unnecessary things to live a life less about things and more about living. This way of living has been very noticeable in our lives as we have been spending more time with friends and family and traveling with more trips to come later in the year. It has been a great experience. I guess this is just a possible warning of the possibility of not completing the challenge as planned. However, I remain optimistic that we can do it.
As of now, I’m not sure if this is a road block with an alternate path coming or an early end. An early end because we feel like we don’t have additional items to declutter at this time is not a failure in my eyes but instead a great feeling. This just means that we have become our own version of minimalists and from now on will make sure to keep this type of thinking in mind when purchasing something new for ourselves. For now, we keep the posts going with the few more items we have and in the meantime, brainstorm. If anyone has some ideas for us, let us know!
Item 171 of 360+
Today’s item is a pair of shoes. TJ doesn’t get attached to shoes like I do, so he knows when it’s time to say goodbye to a pair that have served him well. While these are still in decent shape, we will donate them for someone else to possibly use.
