“Back to reality , after a brief but pleasant dream.” – Jo Victor
Well, we are back from our awesome honeymoon in Aruba and we are relaxed and rested as TJ has said in yesterday’s post. TJ said he is ready to take on things and so am I. When you come back from vacation to your home, what’s the first thing you see? Your living conditions. And what do you think? I think about all of the things I have to do when seeing the house with a ‘fresh’ pair of eyes. I saw that the house was not ready for summer whatsoever and I panicked. I wanted to get everything done around the house in one day which just wasn’t realistic at all. TJ had to calm me down and say just take it one step at a time, one day at a time. That really stuck with me because I tend to overreact all the time due to my anxiety and attention issues that it’s hard to only focus on one thing. TJ is my friendly reminder to relax and take little tasks on one by one than everything all at once. After a week off of relaxation you’d think I’d be calm, cool, and collected, however, I went right to overwhelmed because I let the small things get to me like I usually do. Sometimes you just need to be grounded a bit but don’t hit the ground too hard when coming back to reality. It all hit me at once and it’s important to take a breather and give yourself a little adjustment period when returning from vacation when settling back into reality. Because if you don’t, you’ll drive yourself crazier than you were before you even took that relaxing vacation!
Item 167 of 360+
Today’s item is a beach bag we brought to Aruba with us that got the best of the trip. It got dirt and sand all over it from our UTV trip around the island. However, the bag served it’s purpose for many years and trips so it was time to say goodbye.
