Day 129 – For the Moms

“We are born of love; love is our mother.” —Rumi

“A mother’s hug lasts long after she lets go.” —Unknown

Happy Mother’s Day! All you moms out there and mothers to be and people trying to be mothers, today is your day! We show appreciation to you today for all the things you do for us and providing the gift of life. Moms show us what true love looks like and everything that we are grateful for in life, is thanks to our mothers for bringing us into this world. Today, I went to breakfast with my mom, while TJ went and made breakfast for his mom at her house. Then, TJ and I went for a lunch with his grandma, mom, and aunt. Now that we’re married, I have another mother and it’s great spending time with both of the families. It’s truly a blessing to have events together with both families. We are grateful to have such loving, strong, and beautiful women in both of our lives. If you’ve been wanting to reach out to your mother or a special mother figure in your life or do something nice for them, don’t wait for just Mother’s Day. The strong women figures in your life unfortunately will not be here forever, and you should appreciate them and remind them often how special they are to you. I know I will. Go out there and hug your moms today or that special woman figure in your life.

A quick random tidbit from TJ. When I was eating breakfast with my Mother today we were watching this weeks episode of SNL. Since it was Mother’s Day, it reminded me of the digital short with Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake called Mother Lovers.. Too funny, if you have never seen, it’s worth a watch. Happy Mothers Day!

Item 129 of 360+

“There is only one spatula for me, and that is Spat.” – SpongeBob

Sorry SpongeBob, can’t agree with you today. Our item is a set of kitchen utensils, a spoon, a spatula and their hybrid buddy. We have various types of these types of items in the kitchen so we figured we should get rid of some of them. As you can see from the last few posts, we recently cleaned out some items from the kitchen. Slowly room by room, we declutter and find things we don’t need anymore. Expect more kitchen items for the next week or so, maybe these items will motivate others to do a kitchen clean-out or declutter of their own.
