Day 121 – Best Feeling

“Be happy in anticipation of what’s coming.” – Abraham Hicks

There is no better feeling than anticipation. The time leading up to something exciting is well… exciting. I am the king of over-hyping myself up on things but it’s always nice having something to look forward to. It’s officially the beginning of May and at the end of the month, Amalia and I will be getting married. So of course, we are both excited for the end of the month. We have been looking forward to this for longer than most brides and grooms due to the Covid pandemic. This may quite literally be the biggest anticipation build up of our entire lives. We have a great weekend planned with our friends and families and it’s going to be a blast. This alone will help me get through any of the not great moments this month knowing it’s all worth it because we have our wedding at the end of the month.

We have plenty more things to look forward to in the summer as well, both little and big. For example, small things like random days at the lake or going camping for a night or two on the weekends. Then big plans like going to California and driving down the coast to possibly going to Ireland or Aruba. This is the good stuff, having something to look forward to is the best feeling in the world and I hope to always have something to look forward to. It’s a great way to stay optimistic in life, which is something we all need to try to be.

Item 121 of 360+
Today’s item is one of my favorite pullovers from college. I used to wear this jacket everywhere because it was comfy and could we worn anywhere with anything. Everyone in our year of engineering rocked these jackets because it was part of a fundraiser for our IEEE group at school. I actually have an updated one from a more recent year that is blue that I still wear today. This one is older and has served its purpose so I figured it was time to say goodbye.
