“There is nothing truer in this world than the love of a good dog.” – Mira Grant
Woohoo! We are one-third of the way through our minimalism everyday journey for our 360 in 365 goal! I can’t believe we are already that far along our goal. To celebrate, I thought today’s post should be about the one-third of our little family, our dog Luna.
This morning I woke up to my dog on the bed. Now, this wasn’t a normal morning because TJ was gone away on a fishing trip. This was the first night without TJ since we bought the new house and Luna was in his spot. When I saw my dog on the bed, I instantly took a picture of her because I appreciated her presence more since I wasn’t alone. We also went for a walk together today and I gave her a special treat.
Owning a pet is a great idea when you’re lonely or want something to care for that cares for you back. A dog will always be there to keep you company and love you unconditionally. I’ve appreciated my dog a lot more in general since the Covid pandemic. Due to working from home and avoiding social events, I’ve been spending so much time with her. TJ being gone today reminded me of the fact I’d gotten so much closer to my pet. Having a pet to greet you when you come home, protect you, and always be happy to see you is something you should value.
Item 120 of 360+
Today’s item is an old toaster our friend Ronnie built for us a few years ago. I’ve been trying to get rid of this for so long! We got a new fancy toaster now so we no longer need this old one.
